With more than thirty years of real life, on-the ground business experience across various industries, Peter has a wealth of business knowledge and know-how ready to support you to build the business and life you’ve always wanted. Raised by entrepreneurial parents who operated two businesses in Mackay, Peter’s passion for business was forged at a young age. Timeless principles were observed and learned. One remembered well; “When all you think about is price, customers decide on price, when all you think about is value customers decide on value.”
Following school, he studied business management and accounting at University in Brisbane and Rockhampton and after the sudden death of his father he returned to Mackay to manage the family businesses. It was a difficult time, but it was during this time he discovered the deep personal reward that comes with overcoming the challenges associated with growing and developing a business. During his time in the family business he was instrumental in increasing production output by 300% and returning the business to solid profit.
In 2006, Peter took up an opportunity to buy into a small tax agency. Together with his business partners they transformed the business from a basic four-person tax agency styled practice to a fully-fledged accounting and financial services firm. In 2016 Peter completed his MBA with the University of Southern Queensland graduating in the top 15%. He has served on the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce management committee for six years fulfilling both Vice President and Treasurer roles and remains an active member today.
Peter is married with three kids and a black lab named Dave, loves his camping and boating and exploring remote Australia.
